Arsenal have suffered a major injury blow with the news that new signing Jurrien Timber is set for six months on the sidelines.
The Dutch defender sustained a knee injury in his Premier League debut against Nottingham Forest on Saturday and will now undergo surgery.
Timber, who joined Arsenal from Ajax for £38 million in the summer, was making his first start for the club in the match against Forest.
He was forced off in the 50th minute after going down in pain following a challenge.
