Kylian Mbappe has told Paris Saint-Germain he will leave at the end of the 2023-2024 season when his contract expires, according to multiple reports.

Mbappe’s current contract with PSG expires in the summer, and since January 1, he has been able to hold pre-contract talks with other clubs.

The terms of Mbappe’s departure have yet to be finalised, as the two parties negotiate whether he will leave for a fee or sacrifice his own earnings to protect PSG financially.

PSG and Mbappe are expected to make an announcement in the coming months once an agreement has been reached.

The 25-year-old has been heavily linked with a transfer to Real Madrid.

However, it has been reported that Mbappe will have to take a pay cut to join the Spanish team.

Last summer, PSG accepted a world-record £259 million bid from Al Hilal for Mbappe and granted the player permission to speak with the Saudi club.

However, it was reported that Mbappe turned down the opportunity to discuss a move to the club when delegates traveled to Paris.

He was then barred from training with PSG’s first-team squad due to a contract disagreement.

However, the World Cup winner was reintegrated in August of last year, following “positive and constructive talks”.
