Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has allegedly tested positive for the use of testosterone, according to multiple reports in Italy.
The player, Juventus, Serie A, and the Italian Football Federation have yet to confirm or deny the report.
According to news agency ANSA, the Juventus midfielder was found to have elevated levels of the hormone in random tests performed after the Italian club’s opening Serie A match against Udinese on August 20.
Pogba, who won the World Cup with France in 2018, sat out the match but has since come on as a substitute in games against Bologna and Empoli. It is not clear which body has conducted the tests.

According to Sportmediaset, if found guilty, Pogba could face a ban from all football activities for up to two years, which could be extended to four years if it is proven the player took it knowingly.
Juventus play Lazio at 2 p.m. on Saturday, with the Frenchman’s inclusion now uncertain in light of the reports.
Pogba’s Juventus comeback has been marred by injuries. He only appeared in 10 games last season due to four separate serious injuries to his knee, groin, and hamstring. As a result, he will miss the 2022 World Cup.
