Chelsea secured a hard-fought 3-1 victory against 10-men Leicester City, enabling them to maintain their 10th spot in the EPL Table.

Chelsea continued their recent run of success with a third consecutive win, as they handed Leicester City their fifth straight loss.

The team came into the match with momentum from their Champions League triumph over Borussia Dortmund and started strongly with Ben Chilwell scoring a volley from a difficult angle against his former club.

Joao Felix for Chelsea and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall for Leicester City both hit the woodwork within two minutes of each other, and a goal from Felix was disallowed for offside after being reviewed by the video assistant referee.

Patson Daka scored a great equalizer for Leicester City after Ricardo Pereira dispossessed the dallying Felix outside the box.

However, Kai Havertz secured the lead for Chelsea just before halftime with a clever finish from Enzo Fernandez’s well-executed aerial pass.

Mykhailo Mudryk thought he had scored his first goal for Chelsea in the second half, but it was disallowed for offside. The win was secured for Chelsea when Mateo Kovacic scored with a volley from Mudryk’s header.
