CAF Awards Winners 2019 – Sadio Mane and Asisat Oshoala were crowned African Player of the Year and African Women’s Player of the Year at the 2019 CAF Awards held at the Albatros Citadel Sahl Hasheesh Resort in Hurghada, Egypt.

The 28th edition of the CAF Awards honored African footballers and officials who distinguished themselves in 2019.

Mane was crowned African Player of the Year by 477 votes ahead of his Liverpool teammate Mohamd Salah, 325 votes and Algerian Riyadh Mahrez, 267 votes.

Oshoala was named African Women’s Player of the Year for the fourth time, equalling the record of her compatriot Perpetua Nkwocha for the Women’s African Player of the year category

The Youth Player of the Year award went to the Moroccan Achraf Hakimi for his expectional performance both in his club and country (Morocco & Boorussia Dortmund)

For the Interclub of the Year, Youcef Belaili won the award following his stellar performance for his club X in the CAF Champions League with Esperance, while Djamel Belmadi and Desiree Ellis took the men’s and women’s coach of the year.
