Manchester United Forward, Cristiano Ronaldo was awarded the best national team scorer for Portugal at the 2022 Gala Quinas de Ouro on Tuesday.
Ronaldo is the Portuguese national team’s captain and top scorer with 117 goals in 189 appearances.
The 37-year-old Manchester United forward was given an award to celebrate his record as the top scorer in the history of Portugal.
In addition, Ronaldo has already won five Ballon d’Or awards, and he is currently the top scorer in Real Madrid history with 450 goals in 438 appearances across all competitions.
He also holds the record for the most goal in the UEFA Champions League history with 140 goals and is currently the top scorer in world football with 117 goals.
The 37-year-old veteran has added this award to his endowed collection of personal and team honors.
After winning another award, Ronaldo took to social media to celebrate his latest achievement.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner along with a photo from the event said, “Proud to win the award for the best scorer of national teams for the country I love!
“Thanks again to all my teammates, coaches, my family, friends and all my fans who helped me achieve this great achievement!
“Together we will continue to beat all possible records! Thank you #Portugal.”
Present at the ceremony were popular football figures including Jose Mourinho, Ruben Dias, club teammate Bruno Fernandez and many others stars.
It was an epic night for Ronaldo as he is away from Manchester United and with the Portuguese national team ahead of the UEFA Nations League fixtures against the Czech Republic and Spain.
