Football fans around the world had a lot to keep them busy this weekend, with major matches taking place in all of Europe’s top five leagues.

The Premier League had mixed results this weekend, as the North London derby ended in a 2-2 draw, and Aston Villa defeated Chelsea 1-0.

Sheffield United endured a devastating loss to Newcastle, who scored an impressive 8 goals to clinch their victory.

In contrast, Liverpool, Manchester City, and Manchester United all emerged victorious in their respective matches.

In Spanish La Liga, Atletico Madrid emerged victorious with a 3-1 win against Real Madrid, while Barcelona showcased their resilience by overcoming a two-goal deficit to secure a 3-2 win against Celta Vigo.

In the Bundesliga, Harry Kane, the ex-Tottenham striker, scored his first hattrick for Bayern Munich in a 7-0 victory against VFL Bochum.

PSG defeated Marseille 4-0 in Le Classique, even with Kylian Mbappe injured during the French Ligue 1 match.

The largest victory in Europe’s top five leagues occurred when Newcastle defeated winless Sheffield United 8-0 at Bramall Lane.

Newcastle United are the first team in Premier League history to have eight different players score in a single game.

This was the Blades’ largest defeat in their league history in their 4,988th game.

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen’s missed penalty cost Napoli a goalless draw against Bologna in Serie A, while Inter Milan and AC Milan both won their matches.

Sassuolo beat Juventus 4-2, handing them their first loss of the 2023/2024 Serie A season.
