Lionel Messi has been at the top of the list of 10 of the world’s highest-paying football players after an emotional move from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain last summer. 

The Argentine hero participated in PSG with a free transfer, and the French made him the most paid football player in the world.

The Daily Star used data from Marca and Salary Sport to determine the 10 highest-paying soccer players in 2022.

The 34-year-old is far ahead of his rivals in the £ 960,000 weekly ranking.

Messi’s teammate Neymar finished second with a £ 606,000 megawin per week.

 Brazilian midfielder Oscar, who plays at the port of Shanghai on the Chinese side, earns a whopping £ 540,000 a week in the Chinese Super League.

 Cristiano Ronaldo, who left Juventus to return to Manchester United with a big hit last summer, is currently the highest paid player in the Premier League.

The Portuguese legend earns £ 385,000 a week at United, ranking sixth behind David de Gea and Kevin De Bruyne.
