It was a big saturday for Chelsea Football Club in the Premier League as they sealed their position as the League leaders with comfortable victory over Newcastle United.
Newcastle United which was recently acquired by the Saudi Arabia conglomerate held Chelsea to a goalless draw until 65th minute when Reece James scored a screamer to open the goal books.
Chelsea went on to win the game with three goals to nil as Reece James found the net twice and Jorginho finished the day with a fantastic penalty kick.
Meanwhile, League contenders Liverpool and Manchester City who were pressing Chelsea from behind, trying to claim the top spot, could not keep on the pace.
Liverpool was held to a 2 -2 draw by Brighton & Hove Albion while Manchester City lost to Crystal Palace with two goals to nil.
These new results has provided Chelsea despite missing Lukaku, Mount and Werner, with an exceptional three points gap at the top of the table with 25 points from the possible 30 points in 10 matches, while Liverpool comes second with 22 points followed by Manchester City with 20 points.
