According to PSG Talk, Messi joined Eden Hazard and PSG teammate Mbappe as the only players since the 2006-07 season to record 15 or more goals and 15 or more assists in one Ligue 1 campaign.

Hazard accomplished this feat in the 2011-12 season, scoring 20 goals and 16 assists, while Mbappe did so in the 2021-22 season, scoring 28 goals and 17 assists.

Despite uncertainty surrounding his team’s success, Messi seems to be on track to win his second Ligue 1 title as Paris Saint-Germain leads the league with 75 points, which is 11 points ahead of the closest challenger, Marseille, with only six games left to play.

Messi makes final decision on his future

Meanwhile, Lionel Messi is set for a stunning return to Barcelona, two years after leaving the Catalan club to sign for Paris Saint-Germain, Sportskeeda reports.

ESPN journalist Martin Arevalo revealed Messi wants a return to Camp Nou when his current PSG deal expires this summer, with Barcelona keen to have him back.
