Kylian Mbappe and co. were unable to find the back of the net. In total, France scored just five goals in six group stage games.

The 2018 World Cup winners barely avoided relegation from Nations League A, having won the title in 2021.

They were saved by Croatia, who defeated Austria by 3 goals to 1, which means Austria was relegated instead of France.

Christian Eriksen was far and away the best player on the pitch as the Manchester United star absolutely picked apart France.

He wasn’t credited with a goal or assist, but Eriksen completely controlled play as Denmark were organized, clinical and, ultimately, victorious.

Watch Below for the highlights of the France shocking 2-0 defeat to Denmark:

Christian Eriksen created eight chances against France, the most by a player in a League A, B or C game in the 2022/23 Nations League.
