Real Madrid have reached an agreement with Borussia Dortmund to sign Jude Bellingham, according to several reports.
According to David Ornstein, the transfer fee surpasses €100 million (£86 million), and the 19-year-old is expected to undergo a medical in the upcoming days to finalize his transfer.
The report also states the ‘deal is not yet signed but that is among the formalities that will follow’.
The Spanish giants appear to have beaten the likes of Manchester City in landing Bellingham, with Madrid to be the England international’s preferred destination.
Earlier this summer, Man City had been linked with Bellingham in an attempt to strengthen their midfield.
They did not, however, submit offers or provide financial figures for the player to Dortmund in terms of a transfer fee or salary.
Bellingham rose through the ranks at his hometown club Birmingham City before joining Dortmund in an estimated £25 million deal.
The talented midfielder also performed admirably for England in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, and he has 24 international caps to his name.
Real Madrid are likely to sign one of the top young players in the world, bolstering their midfield options ahead of the 2023/24 season.
