Women’s World Cup 2023: Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala backs Super Falcons to beat Australia 

Director General, World Trade Organisation (WTO), Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has backed the Super Falcons to go all out for victory against Australia.

The Super Falcons will face the co-hosts in their second group game of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup at Brisbane Stadium on Thursday.

Randy Waldrum’s team drew 0-0 with Canada in the first game of the tournament.

The Matildas, on the other hand, secured a 1-0 victory over the Republic of Ireland.

Okonjo-Iweala took to social media to congratulate the Super Falcons on their impressive draw against Canada and challenged the players to do more against Australia.

In a tweet on Sunday, Okonjo-Iweala wrote, “Hello Super Falcons! Congratulations on an incredible effort in your draw with Canada. Wishing you the best in the upcoming Australia match up!!!”
