Windows 10 is a series of personal computer operating system, manufactured by Microsoft as part of its Windows NT operating system family. Windows 10 was released on July 29 2015 the latest update was on November 2019.
After the latest update Microsoft has been working hard to redesign the look of Windows 10, and has unveiled the new icons for 100 of its most popular apps.
As part of the redesign that Microsoft calls ‘ Fluent Design, ‘ a variety of icons for different Microsoft applications, such as the Edge web browser, have new colors, textures and finishes, and have been designed to give Windows (and its apps) a new, modern look to a range of devices, including laptops, tablets and smartphones.
Microsoft’s blue tones are still present in all of its applications, but not as much as before. And you can forget about the old white icons, because the new ones are far more vibrant.
Jon Friedman, corporate vice president of design and research at Microsoft, explains in a post that the team “had to develop a flexible and open design system to span a range of contexts while still being true to Microsoft.”
The design work is still in process and will continue into 2020. By the time Windows 10X arrives, which is a new version of the operating system for dual screen devices, Windows 10 could look pretty different indeed.
We are all anticipating for the new version of Windows 10 operating system by 2020.
